TANUKI’S MAGIC

KVD designed the packaging for a Daiginjo style sake called Tanuki’s Magic. The custom sake was created for Kenichi’s Sushi restaurant so it was only fitting that the label be custom as well. The Tanuki character has a long history in Japanese legend and folklore. Tanuki symbolizes generosity, cheer, and prosperity. It is common to see a statue of Tanuki in Japan in front of an establishment that promises fun and good cheer.

While it was important that the label be sophisticated and clean, it was also important that it featured Tanuki as a mysterious character that stirs the imagination.
