ASPEN IDEAS FESTIVAL PROGRAM GUIDE 2014
The Aspen Ideas Festival is the nation’s premier, public gathering place for leaders from around the globe to discuss the ideas and issues that both shape our lives and challenge our times. KVD has worked closely with the team at AIF to design and produce all of the festival printed materials for several years.
KVD designed the 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival program guide to feature the new festival logo created by the infinia group in a clean modern design. The cover die cut reveals a close up of the logo printed on the inside flap. The flap also doubles as a page saver so the festival attendees can easily bookmark their favorite festival events. The accompanying festival agenda and attendee directory complete the package.
The Aspen Ideas Festival celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2014 with a commemorative collection of artist prints and quotes from past festivals in a collectable portfolio that was presented in a cardboard box and labeled “Ideas in a Box”. The portfolio was inspired by a Herbert Bayer promotional piece that he designed for the Aspen Institute which contained posters of his work. KVD designed the exterior of the box to be simple and clean. Once opened a splash of bright color was revealed to introduce a detail of the new logo.
