For over 20 years, Kissane Viola Design has helped many businesses capture attention with visual storytelling. Specializing in brand development, KVD creates a cohesive visual narrative incorporating logo design, advertising, art direction, along with website design and development.
DESIGN DIRECTOR | As a design director, Paul utilizes his experiences from New York City as a creative director for more than half a dozen magazines. Paul relocated to Aspen in 1998 to pursue his passion for the outdoors and to apply his talents in a less concrete environment. Coming from a background of classic graphic design, his work spans from branding to editorial, all with a strong emphasis on typography. Paul has studied graphic design and brand development in New York City and in Birmingham, England.
DESIGN DIRECTOR | Katie specializes in visual identity design and brand strategy and has designed countless logos for organizations and businesses. Katie is a skilled and highly respected illustrator, and has applied her fine art sensibilities to her passion for typography and logo identity design. Katie’s design career began in NYC creating logos for the fashion industy after graduating with a full-scholarship BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris.
PROJECT MANAGER | Jamie brings over 10 years of project management, academic research, and collaborative planning to her position at KVD. A Stanford University graduate in environmental science and geology, she moved to Aspen in 2010 and spent several years in the nonprofit sector working to make scientific research more accessible to the general public. Her role at KVD revolves around orchestrating seamless interaction between clients and designers, working to ensure that projects stay on track from scope, timeline, and budget perspectives.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER | Michael brings 15 years of experience in design, typography, screen printing, and general troublemaking to KVD. In addition to design and printing, he’s worked in the public art field managing community engagement and artist processes after graduating with a Masters degree in community planning. Micheal's other creative outlet, Department of Everyday, is a design and print studio, which is well known for seed bombs that have been featured in Dwell, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and House Beautiful, and have been carried by national retailers including Anthropologie, Williams-Sonoma, and Restoration Hardware.
